Work in progress

1st day – 15th July 2015 – I made my way tentatively to Bank Street Arts at 11.30am in anticipation of the first day of the Members Exhibition.
When I arrived I could see there had been some activity in the main gallery area and sought out a place to start my piece.
Choosing a smaller gallery space, I hung my vast length of material in the corner of the room and began sewing.
Hearing other members making and discussing their work made me feel like I was back at art school, which comforted me.
Not knowing how my work would turn out and whether someone would join me in the space gave the whole activity some excitement.
After an hour or so, I packed my things away and left my material hanging, along with my reference material and contact details and trudged back to work.
I’m looking forward to my next visit to Bank Street to continue with my work in progress.
